Hydrotherapy is Aquatic Physiotherapy

Acquatic Physiotherapy treatment incorporates individual assessment, diagnosis and the use of clinical skills to formulate a water based treatment program designed for the client. It may be used on its own or in conjunction with other rehabilitation tools. The properties of water can be used to assist or resist movement. The physiotherapist has the skills to use the properties of water to assist with rehabilitation.

The aim of acquatic physiotherapy is to assist with the rehabilitation of neurological, musculoskeletal, orthopaedic, cardiopulmonary and psychological function of an individual. Acquatic physiotherapy can be effective in preventing injury, reducing the deterioration of function and improving physical activity levels.

Bayside Physiotherapy offers acquatic physiotherapy (hydrotherapy) in one on one sessions on Thursdays at the Hervey Bay Acquatic Centre, Boundary Rd, Hervey Bay.
