Practitioners

Mark Cassidy is the director and practice principal of Bayside Physiotherapy. With more than 19 years experience as a physiotherapist, Mark is also an APA Sports Physiotherapist. He completed his Masters Degree in Sports Physiotherapy in 2000 and was awarded the Sports Physiotherapist title by the Australian Physiotherapy Association the same year.
Mark has previously been the principal of practices in Randwick, Sydney and Leeton in rural NSW and took over Bayside Physiotherapy in August 2003.

Mark has worked with athletes from a wide range of sports and has also worked as a physiotherapist in the athletes village at the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games. Recently he was team physiotherapist for the Oceania nations at the Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth games. He has worked with rugby teams including the NSW and Australian Women’s teams, Eastern Suburbs 1st Grade, Sydney, NSW Country and the Australian Universities Team.

Mark enjoys the lifestyle Hervey Bay offers his young family. He likes to take time out with the family at the beach and at home. He is also involved with coaching the Fraser Coast Mariners A-grade team in the Sunshine Coast Rugby Union competition

Troy Fraser joined Bayside Physiotherapy in January 2005. Originally from Dalby, Troy has degrees in Human Movement Studies and of Physiotherapy from the University Queensland. Troy has special interests in exercise prescription and foot biomechanics.
Troy spends most of his spare time either watching or playing sport. He plays soccer for Kawungan in the Fraser Coast competition and would like to get more golf into his life.

Michelle Kneebone graduated from Griffith University on the Gold Coast with degrees in both physiotherapy and exercise science. She then worked in a sports physiotherapy practice in Brisbane before joining the Bayside Physiotherapy team in Hervey Bay in February 2006.
Michelle has been a participant in many sports and this has given her an understanding of the demands sports can place on the body . From this background Michelle has developed an interest in analysing the biomechanics of sport. She also has an interest in womens health issues.

Michelle is currently back in training for middle distance running. She enjoys baking cakes in her quiet time, much to the pleasure of the rest of the Bayside Physiotherapy team

Joanna-Lee Tan has been at Bayside Physiotherapy since 2000 . Joanna went to University in her home town of Adelaide and has a special interest in treating children as well as running some of our exercise classes.

Tammie Ruhl joined Bayside Physiotherapy in 2005 and she facilitates our afternoon exercise classes
